Hampleton Partners advises REIFF Group on sale to Haberkorn
London/Frankfurt, December 18, 2024 – Hampleton Partners has advised the shareholders of the REIFF Group, one of the leading German suppliers of technical products and industry solutions, on the sale to Haberkorn, one of the largest technical distributors in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Eastern Europe.
Subject to the approval of the competition authorities, Haberkorn will acquire a 25 percent stake in the REIFF Group on January 1, 2025. The aim is to increase this stake to 100 percent in the next few years. This will further deepen and expand the partnership between the two companies. REIFF will continue to operate as an independent company and will also be managed by the previous family CEO Alec Reiff and his management team.
Haberkorn and REIFF – a partnership with a bright future
The two technical dealers have had a close relationship for decades and so REIFF found the ideal partner in Haberkorn at the end of a competitive international bidding process. "Embedded in a larger group of companies, we have the framework to develop further, increase our sales and strengthen our brand. We share the same values and work according to the same principles," emphasizes Alec Reiff. "Together we are looking forward to a successful future."
Dr. Jan Eiben, Managing Partner of Hampleton, adds: "We are delighted that we have been able to find the best possible partner for the REIFF Group in Haberkorn. The strong demand for innovative industrial products and comprehensive solutions is generating great interest in the market internationally. The merger of these two leading companies offers an excellent basis for sustainably expanding their already strong market positions in the DACH region and beyond and creating additional added value for customers."
The transaction marks an important milestone for both companies, which will use their combined expertise and experience to tap into new potential in the field of industrial technology solutions.
REIFF sees itself as an expert in drive, fluid and sealing technology as well as in rubber and plastic applications and is one of the top five companies in its industry in Germany. With the sale to the Haberkorn Group, REIFF customers benefit from an even larger range in several product groups and a broader service portfolio. The technical expertise that the Reutlingen company has stood for for decades remains unchanged - and which represents a valuable asset for Haberkorn.
